Less stereotyping in the USA for Indie Band Choice

This sort of stereotyping doesn't exist in the United States where someone who appreciates Discount Disney Trip can love the Kings of Leon just as much. In the UK, a diehard Muse fan would probably wish to avoid being seen near an Oasis fan. This isn't the biggest problem in the world as there is more than enough room for all these different types of bands but it is interesting to notice how the two nations appear to be split.

With bands moving between countries and touring regularly there is no need to feel that people are missing out and bands like The Hold Steady are definitely growing in prominence in the UK. It just seems strange that it takes an American band with intelligence to break the UK whereas local bands offering the same sort of styles find it hard to get a breakthrough.
